Soon after 1945 until the middle of 1946, there was also an allied internment camp for war criminals in Ludwigsburg plus the U.S. Army taken care of the Pattonville barracks on the sting of town, significant sufficient to possess its own American highschool. The land was returned to Germany in 1994.
